Nigeria | ARTvocacy’s “Civic Canvas Project” aims to create murals (large wall paintings) in Nigerian communities to address civic education gaps and promote democratic engagement. ARTvocacy was born from the 2020 youth-led protests in Nigeria, which highlighted police brutality. ARTvocacy uses art as a tool for activism, amplifying youth voices to influence change. The murals which will be co-created with local leaders will serve as messages that encourage participation in civic activities and promote democratic engagement.
