Haciendo Eco

Haciendo Eco is an initiative educating Guatemalans on waste management, composting, and reducing non-recyclable materials to create an informed, responsible population. It empowers communities, the education sector, and authorities to improve waste management, environmental protection, and public health, focusing on rural indigenous areas reliant on river ecosystems. It provides a free digital program for any waste-generating entity, organizes river cleanups, leads reforestation efforts, collaborates with schools to become recycling hubs for their communities and creates a menstrual educational initiative for at-risk women, providing them with free menstrual cups and menstrual education.
