We Are Special Foundation
Nigeria | According to the World Bank, 15% of the global population experiences some form of disability, with higher prevalence in developing countries. In Nigeria, nearly 25 million people live with disabilities. The “We Are Special Foundation” aims to support at least 20% of this population, contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals by providing healthcare, education, empowerment and advocating for regular well-being checks. The nonprofit is committed to creating inclusive opportunities for individuals with disabilities while addressing critical social and environmental issues. Their overarching mission is to foster sustainable development and community resilience through impactful projects, with a focus on economic, social, and environmental sustainability, through which they strive to build a more equitable and inclusive society.
