Abobakar Sediq Miakhel

Abobakar is an Afghan refugee living in Brussels, where he co-founded the NGO, AILEM that provides language education tailored for refugees and asylum seekers to support their integration in a new host country. Abobakar is an advocate of refugee education and rights, where he has spoken from the ECOSOC Youth Forum to the GFMD. Abobakar was previously part of the UNESCO Digital Games of Peace Program, King Baudouin’s BOOST foundation, and recipients of the Davis Projects for Peace. In 2022, he was also selected as the European Commission Peace Ambassador Scholarship for the OYW Conference.
