Ambassador Shambhu L. Hakki

Joint Secretary (Multilateral and Economic Relations & G20), Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India

Mr. Shambhu L. Hakki is Joint Secretary (Multilateral Economic
Relations & G20) in the Ministry of External Affairs and India’s G20 &
BRICS Sous-Sherpa. Mr. Hakki is a career diplomat who joined the Indian
Foreign Service in 2008, He served as Consulate General of India,
Guangzhou from 2021-25. During his diplomatic career spanning over
16 years, he has served in Indian Missions in Beijing and Washington
DC in various capacities.
