South Africa | Asanda Gebhuza holds a BCom Honours in Information Systems and is currently pursuing his Master’s in Rural Development, specializing in Land Administration, at Fort Hare University. He is an alumnus of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung South Africa’s youth leadership program, the Fort Hare Autumn School (FHAS) 2018 Cohort.
Recognizing the need for financial literacy as a global citizen, Asanda founded a financial market education initiative to teach children aged 12-16 about financial markets, aiming to bridge gaps in financial literacy and combat unemployment. He is also the founder and Director of an IT Consulting Company which he launched in 2017 while still at university. In 2018, Asanda was invited to the BRICS Forum East London-Eastern Cape under a Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA) contractor, participating in the Youth session to discuss integrating South African youth entrepreneurs with other BRICS countries.
