Bernadette Lim

Young Global Changer 2020/2021, Founder, Freedom Community Clinic

The USA | Bernadette Lim is a community organizer and medical student at the UCSF School of Medicine, also holding a recent Master’s degree from the Joint Medical Program at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health. Her work focuses on reimagining and actively pursuing a medical and public health practice that prioritizes community narratives, voices, and experiences.

Bernadette is the founder of the Freedom Community Clinic, Woke WOC Docs podcast, and Freedom School for Intersectional Medicine. Her impactful contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including the Yamashita Prize for Outstanding Emerging Change Activist in California, Journal of Public Health Management Top Students Who Rocked Public Health, Dalai Lama Fellowship, and National Minority Quality Forum 40 Under 40 Leaders in Minority Health, among many others.
