Binamrata Sharma

Binamrata Sharma is the co-founder of Khetipati Organics, an agro-processing facility that works directly with smallholder farmers in Nepal and adds value to rural agricultural produce. She graduated with honors in Mathematics & Computer Science and initially began her career as a software engineer in New York. However, her deep-rooted desire to make a visible impact on communities and her passion for entrepreneurship led her to return to Nepal. Here, she co-founded Khetipati Organics, a social enterprise that aims at providing financial stability to smallholder farmers by minimizing their post-harvest losses and creating a stable market for their produce. In addition to the commitment to sustainable agriculture practices, she is also creating Nepal’s first expedition and trekking meals with her team that provides expedition climbers and mountaineering Sherpas on the Himalayas with nutrition that is sourced locally from the smallholder farmers of Nepal.
