Charles Falajiki

Chief Development Officer & Project Lead, AREAi: FastTrack

Charles Falajiki is a development practitioner and social innovator leveraging technology, innovation and collaboration to address social issues, particularly in education and digital inclusion. With half a decade of transnational work experience, he currently leads the overarching developmental strategy at Aid for Rural Education Access Initiative (AREAi) as the organization’s Chief Development Officer. In his role at AREAi, he designs and scales innovative educational and digital skills development solutions for marginalized children and at-risk youth in underserved communities. His professional background includes active engagement with UNESCO, UNICEF, Education Cannot Wait, The Education Commission, TheirWorld, and Education Above All, among others. In the last 5 years, he has managed multi-year donor-funded projects, reaching over 50,000 direct beneficiaries across 36 communities in 12 states in Nigeria. His work has been recognized locally and internationally, with special recognition including being named a Global Changemaker, a Queen’s Commonwealth Young Leader, a British Council Future Leader, and a TheirWorld Global Youth Ambassador, among other achievements. His professional aspirations are centered on transforming educational access and 21st-century digital skill development for last-mile users and children who are at risk of falling through the cracks.
