Colin Mayer

Colin Mayer is a Professorial Fellow at Wadham College, Oxford, and former Peter Moores Professor of Management Studies and Dean at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. He is a Fellow of the British Academy and the Royal Society of Arts, a Fellow of the European Corporate Governance Institute, and Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research. He serves on the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal. His recent work focuses on the objectives and purposes of business, particularly on how to conceptualize these purposes as extending beyond merely increasing shareholder value. He advocates for a broader perspective that includes consideration of both economic and social well-being.
