Damjan Jugovic

Young Global Changer 2020/2021

Bosnia and Herzegovina | Damjan Jugovic is a professional dedicated to peacebuilding and conflict prevention. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Security and Peace Studies from the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Sarajevo, where he was recognized as the best student of his generation.

Following his studies in BiH, Damjan received an Erasmus+ Scholarship to research human rights, gender equality, and conflict studies at the International Institute of Social Studies in The Hague. He was also awarded the Fulbright Research Scholarship to study theories of peace and violence at George Mason University’s School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution. A Konrad Adenauer Foundation fellow, Damjan holds a Legion of Honor medal for promoting peace and reconciliation among youth. He has also contributed his expertise to several Intergovernmental Organizations (IGOs), including the British Council, OSCE, and the UN.
