Femi Owoeye

Nigeria | Femi Owoeye is the co-founder and CEO of Trash Monger Limited, a waste management social enterprise that implements recycling projects in densely populated Nigerian communities.

Femi is a recent fellow of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Open Mind Young Voices program, which trains young people in social justice and sustainability. A chemical engineer by training, Femi launched his first business upon graduation, helping smallholder farmers sell their products directly to customers in major Nigerian cities. He has been involved in national policy-making strategy meetings on climate change and waste management at various levels. Femi is also a fellow of the Venture Capitalist for Africa Mentor Driven Capital project.
