Infectious Diseases Department, Istituto Superiore di Sanità – Riccardo is an MD, PhD and an infectious disease specialist, currently a senior researcher in the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Italian National Institute of Health (ISS). Among her interests are the implementation of the International Health Regulations, pandemic preparedness, One Health surveillance, outbreak response, epidemic intelligence, risk assessment and operational research. She is currently engaged in COVID-19 national surveillance and risk assessment in Italy.
