Garry Gillespie

Gary was appointed Director and Chief Economist in 2011. He provides economic advice to the First Minister and Ministers and leads engagement on the Wellbeing Economy Government (WEGo) network which was instigated in 2018. He holds Professor roles at Glasgow Caledonian and University of Strathclyde and is a Fellow of the UK Academy of Social Sciences.
