James Okewu

Okewu James, known as Madjamie, is a passionate artiste, filmmaker, and civil society advocate in Nigeria. With a Computer Science background, he founded Sick Media, directing impactful short films and the acclaimed play BARCODE, featured at the Rampenlichter Youth Festival in Germany. As ARTvocacy’s National Coordinator, he has established youth-driven art communities in four states, promoting civic engagement and social change. His vision is to expand ARTvocacy to all 36 states, empowering young Nigerians to use art as a force for advocacy and transformation.
