Johanna Bärnreuther

Germany | Johanna Bärnreuther, a Philosophy & Economics student at the University of Bayreuth, Germany, has been leading ‘CampusGemüse’ (CampusVegetables) since 2017. This community development project collaborates with a local prison’s nursery, selling their produce on campus to fund prisoner welfare initiatives. Johanna’s global experience includes a semester at Lebanon’s St. Joseph University and work on ecofeminist projects in Santiago de Chile. As a Heinrich Böll Foundation scholar, she is dedicated to advancing climate justice, participatory democracy, and sustainable business models.
