Mahmoud Elassy

Mahmoud was a Junior Project Manager on the Young Global Changers team at the Global Solutions Initiative from November 2024 to June 2025. He began his undergraduate studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam, and now holds a bachelor’s degree in media studies and linguistics from Central Connecticut State University. He recently completed his master’s degree in digital journalism at Media University of Applied Sciences in Berlin.

After completing his undergraduate studies in the United States, Mahmoud moved back to Cairo, where he grew up, and worked for Unilever as an account executive and creative coordinator for the company’s in-house creative studio. More recently, he worked as a social media manager for Alfred-Wegener-Institut based in Bremerhaven where he oversaw one of their social media channels.
