Maria Laura Russo

Italian Society of Migration Medicine (SIMM) – Sociologist by training, her research interest are focused on the relationship between migratory phenomena and healthcare. Specifically, her main research topic is related to health inequalities that affect migrant populations, with a particular attention to aspects of cultural sensitivity of healthcare systems. Since 2016, she has been an integral part of the Italian Society of Migration Medicine, with the role of National training manager.
