Founder, GEJJA Women Foundation: Safe Girl Reusable Pads

Marjorie Angella Atuhurra is deeply committed to improving the rights and well-being of girls and women, particularly in rural areas of Uganda. She has extensive experience as a team leader, having spent eight years mentoring and supporting groups of rural girls, teen mothers, and marginalized women. She aims to empower women and girls to improve their lives through her work. As the founder of the Gejja Women Foundation, and with her Team, she is reducing the cost of menstruation for women and girls by producing safe and reusable pads and providing training on breaking myths and taboos associated with periods. Additionally, Gejja Women Foundation supports women to start businesses that align with their passions and promote regenerative agriculture through the Gejja Model Farm.
