Egypt | Mohamed Hegazy is a Policy Entrepreneur specializing in Applied Urban Data Science. He excels at combining data collection, integration, and analysis with public policy design to enhance urban systems, improve quality of life, and systematically advance sustainable development.
Mohamed is the co-founder and Director of Transport for Cairo (TfC), a consultancy focused on urban transport in developing cities. He has led the mapping of multiple transit networks across Africa and designed and authored transport strategies and plans utilizing these maps. An avid cyclist, rower, and reader, Mohamed was born in Cairo and holds cum laude degrees in Economics from the American University in Cairo (2012) and Governing the Large Metropolis from Sciences Po, Paris (2018). He also received training at the Center for Sustainable Urban Development, Columbia University, New York (2018).
