Founder, Boys Champions

Inspired by a pivotal conversation with Barack Obama in Johannesburg in 2018, Noel Ifeanyi Alumona founded Boys Champions. This primary preventive, youth-led non-profit is dedicated to creating a safe space for boys and men by teaching healthy masculinity and respectful engagement with females. Its overarching mission is to end violence against women and girls in Nigeria. Noel’s impactful work is bolstered by his recognition as an Obama Foundation Fellow, United States Institute of Peace Fellow, and Generation Change Fellow. He also served as a United Nations Youth Assembly Delegate. Notably, Noel is the first African and Nigerian to win the prestigious AFS Award for Young Global Citizens in New York City. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Special Education at Vanderbilt University, USA.
