Noely Mapunda

Founder, The Nitibu (Healing) Points

Noely Mapunda is a registered medical doctor, UN SDG advocate, humanitarian, and dedicated human rights defender. Having overcome the challenges of being a refugee orphan, he serves as a volunteer doctor at St. Joseph Hospital in Tanzania. In 2015, he founded The Nitibu (Healing) Foundation, specifically addressing the needs of victims of violence. His extensive humanitarian work includes volunteering with a “flying doctors” initiative under the African Union, where he personally cared for over 3,000 patients in critical need of advanced medical attention across the continent. Noely’s commitment has earned him numerous accolades, including the Mandela Youth Award (2015), Tanzania Future I Want Award (2018), Young African Award (2020), Future Healthcare Innovation Award (2021), and the AU Africa SDG Achievers Award (2022). He has also been invited to speak at prominent gatherings such as the Clinton Global Initiative, One Young World, and the African Union Youth Assembly. His ultimate vision is a world free from suffering and death caused by preventable diseases.
