Purvi Tanwani

Purvi Tanwani is the co-founder and Director of Anahat For Change (www.anahatngo.org)- A non-profit hybrid model working to create an enabling environment for young people, women and girls in India. Her organization provides livelihood options to women associated with a homegrown brand Anahat Unnati (www.anahatunnati.com). This innovative brand employs women from the most marginalized backgrounds to make sustainable menstrual and baby care products in India. Purvi is passionate about creating rights realization among young people, girls and women belonging to the grassroots of India so that they are able to make informed choices regarding their sexual and reproductive health rights. Through her organization, she runs several social impact projects directed towards gender justice and adolescent health rights promotion in India. Purvi has been a part of several global fellowship programs. She is an alumnus of The Swedish Institute and holds a dual diploma in gender 2020 and advocacy 2022. She has also been awarded as a Young Social Entrepreneur by The Singapore International Foundation in 2022 and received a winning grant for digital media promotion of her brand.
