Rachel Ncube​

Rachel Ncube is an award winning content creator who uses mostly poetry to speak about inequalities and injustices affecting the community. She started doing art professionally in 2017 after she had faced financial challenges during her studies. In 2019, she received an award for outstanding community arts engagement under the annual Bulawayo Arts Awards. In 2020, she got an award for Edutainment category under Zimbabwe Annual Women of Excellence Awards. In 2021, she was nominated by Gumiguru as part of 50 under 30 emerging leaders of Zimbabwe. Also in 2020, she was crowned a poetry slam champion under Loziba, a women’s movement in Bulawayo.​In 2021, she was appointed as a youth board member at the European Union Delegation to Zimbabwe and won the Accountability Creative Activism Award by Action Aid.
