Shamsiyyah Umar

Shamsiyyah Umar is an advocate for sustainable development and social inclusion with a strong background in international relations, holding both a bachelor’s and a master’s in International Affairs and Diplomacy. She is currently pursuing a PhD, she champions United Nations SDGs 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, and 13, focusing on health, education, gender equality, economic growth, reduced inequalities, and climate action.

As founder of the Special Physically Challenged Care Foundation (We Are Special) Shamsiyyah drives initiatives that uplift young girls, women and individuals with disabilities.
