Stephen Bright Sakwa

Stephen Sakwa is the Co-founder of Bees and Trees Uganda, a youth-led social enterprise tackling landslides and soil degradation by incentivizing farmers to integrate trees into their farms. His efforts in promoting agriculture that benefits people, nature, and the climate has earned him a Youth Food Award at the World Food Forum flagship event in 2023. His team also emerged as one of the eight finalists of the 2022 Nature-Based Solutions Challenge organized by Wageningen University & Research. Stephen is also a fierce advocate of women’s rights in the climate space.
