Born and raised in rural central India, Swapnil Kokate’s passion for agriculture began early, living on an agri university campus where his father was a professor. This foundation led him to pursue chemical engineering, then to develop solar food processing units for farmers, ultimately earning a PhD in the same field. As co-founder of S4S Technologies-India, Swapnil now spearheads the entire solar manufacturing division and guides a team dedicated to inventing novel solar machines for rural communities. His leadership and innovative spirit have earned him significant recognition, including the Forbes 30 Under 30 award and a United Nations Leadership award. Swapnil has devoted his career to building sustainable technologies for underserved populations and establishing social businesses that are both impactful and financially viable.
