  • Iwan Syahril is the Director General for Teachers and Education Personnel at the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
  • He oversees the management, recruitment, and professional development of around 3 million teachers in Indonesia.
  • Prior to taking up the position in 2020, he was the Dean of Faculty of Education at Sampoerna University.
  • Iwan Syahril has two doctorate degrees from Michigan State University, two masters degrees from Columbia University, and a bachelor’s degree from Universitas Padjajaran.
