Thai Nguyen van Quoc

Vietnam | Thai Nguyen van Quoc previously worked in academia and the NGO sector in Vietnam before beginning his doctoral research at the University of Groningen. His research examines environmentalist actions by civil society, specifically those motivated by food-related grievances under restrictive political climates.

His interest in food and planning extends to innovative approaches, particularly alternative initiatives aimed at transforming the modern food system. He co-organized a session at the World Urban Forum 2020 on how culturally informed innovations can facilitate the pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
