Veronika Pountcheva

Veronika Pountcheva was appointed as a full-time member of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) in August 2022, effective 1 October 2022.
Prior to her appointment, Ms Pountcheva served as Senior Vice President of corporate responsibility of METRO AG and Co-chief Executive Officer of NX Food, with responsibility for developing the company’s long-term sustainability strategy. She previously held CEO roles at METRO in Bulgaria, Ukraine, Germany and Serbia.
