Session description

It is paramount to find ways to protect privacy and consumer rights without suffocating the innovative potential of the digital industry. This issue is a global one as data exchange regularly happens across borders. Our culture, norms and values from the offline, real world oftentimes do not translate into the online world. Online platforms provide a space in which individual opinions can be easily published and receive traction. Misleading, manipulative or false information can endanger markets and democracies.
