G20 Insights

The G20 Insights Platform offers policy proposals to the G20 and G7.

The Policy Briefs are produced by Task Forces from the Think20 (T20) Group, the Global Solutions Initiative’s Council for Global Problem-Solving as well as distinguished experts from renowned think tanks. The G20 Insights Platform is complementary to the G20 Information Centre by the Munk School of Global Affairs, the University of Toronto, which provides online official documents by the G20 group.

G20 Insights provides a complete archive of the policy briefs produced by Think20 Engagement Groups since 2017. This will be progressively expanded to include Think7 recommendations for action.

Policy Recommendations are significant, implementable policy proposals for specified G20 decision makers. Each recommendation contains a statement of the underlying policy challenge and the central policy proposal, including an analysis of the relevant considerations and a rationale for the proposal. Furthermore, recommendations will typically be embedded in a current policy framework by linking to relevant G20 initiatives (e.g. agreements, policies, and monitoring reports) as well as background analysis. This comprehensive overview will support sound G20 analysis and policies.

Policy Briefs also contain vision statements which explain an approach to policy making and communicate it to the public.
