Conditions of Participation in the Digital Global Solutions Summit 2020

The following General Terms and Conditions regulate the contractual relationship between the participants of the Global Solutions Summit (hereinafter referred to as “event”) and the organizer Global Solutions Initiative Foundation gGmbH (hereinafter referred to as “organizer”).

1.    Registration/confirmation of registration
Registration is usually completed using the data form on the organizer’s website (online) unless other requirements apply to the relevant event (e.g., e-mail). The registration shall become legally binding by virtue of our written confirmation. Registration and participation in the Digital Global Solutions Summit is free of charge.

 2.    Program and related advertisement
The organizer reserves the right to replace advertised speakers with other speakers, and to undertake necessary changes to the event program, while preserving the overall character of the event. If it becomes impossible to hold the event by virtue of force majeure, by reason of the absence of speakers or by reason of digital and software malfunctions, the participants shall be informed without delay.
In the event of the occurrence of disruptions to services, the organizer undertakes all reasonable measures to contribute to rectifying or restricting the disruption.

3.    Use of Data
3.1 The organizer transfers the data to partners and subcontractors of the Digital Global Solutions Summit, which use this data for accounting purposes. Interested parties, who do not agree to the use of their data as described, are excluded from participating in the application procedure.

3.2 With the registration, participants are given the opportunity to comment in writing as well as a video or graphic uploads and to react to comments of other participants. Comments are publicly visible. Video material is uploaded via the platform Vimeo, whose terms are then agreed to. The author is responsible for the content
of his commentary, in whatever form. 

4.    Copyright
All conference documents at the Digital Global Solutions Summit are protected by copyright. The participants are exclusively granted a simple, non-assignable right of use for their personal use. Participants and third parties are not permitted to modify the contents or editorial content of the conference documents, or to use modified versions of the documents, to copy them for third parties, to publish or transmit them, to use them on the Internet or on other networks, for remuneration or free of charge, to imitate or sell them, or to use them for commercial purposes, even in the case of extracts. No copyright notices, identification markings or trade marks may be removed.

5.    Liability
The event is carefully prepared and delivered by qualified speakers. The organizer accepts no liability for topicality, accuracy and completeness with respect to the speeches, the conference documents or the implementation of the event.

6.    Applicable law, court of jurisdiction and place of performance
The applicable law is German law, to the exclusion of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. To the maximum extent permitted by the applicable law, Berlin is agreed as the place of performance and court of jurisdiction.

7.    Right of revocation for consumers
Participants, who cannot attribute their registration either to their commercial or to their independent professional activity (Section 13 German Civil Code), have the right to revoke their registration in writing, without giving reasons, within 14 days of receipt of the confirmation of registration. Cancellation fees shall not be levied. To meet the submission period, the timely dispatch of the revocation to the following address shall suffice: Global Solutions Initiative Foundation gGmbH, Friedrichstrasse 194-199, 10117 Berlin. This right of revocation expires prematurely if the event booked has taken place and the participant has participated therein.
