The global financial system has been exposed to several geopolitical and geoeconomic shocks during the last decade. Pandemic, climate change, and military conflicts have prompted policymakers to introduce better risk assessment systems, safety nets and response mechanisms. These new challenges have exacerbated the challenges many nations were already facing.
