Student Assistant, Communications

Leslie Nii Lantey Mills (he/him) works as a Communications Assistant at the Global Solutions Initiative. He has a rich background in outreach and strategic communications, honed through his experience in the cabinet of the Togolese Minister of Digital Economy and Transformation. He has worked on storytelling about the impact of digital services, platforms and policies to tackle developmental challenges.

More recently, Leslie worked on knowledge management for a public-private project at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and as a research assistant on the Negotiating Africa’s digital partnerships project at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford.

Currently, he is a graduate student in the Public Policy program at the Hertie School, where he focuses on digital governance and economic development. His academic background also includes studies in Political Science at the University of Ghana and International Affairs at Sciences Po Paris. Leslie speaks fluent English, French and Ga, conversational Twi and German, and some Mandarin.
