Core Communities

The Global Solutions Initiative draws on several core communities:

The Think20 (T20) engagement group is the research and policy advice network of the Group of Twenty (G20). The T20 does not advocate or campaign around specific ideas but serves rather to generate insightful policy proposals, analyzed by high-level experts.

The Council for Global Problem-Solving (CGP) is the research base and intellectual core of the Global Solutions Initiative, comprised of recognized researchers and policy advisers from world-class research institutions committed to providing policy proposals to the Group of Twenty (G20).

The Global Solutions Fellows program encourages recognized researchers, policy advisors and thought-leaders to engage with scholars, implementers and civil society to bring research-based insights to the Global Solutions Initiative’s network, the Group of Twenty (G20) and Think20 (T20) processes, and the wider public.

The Young Global Changers program connects inspired, young people from around the world at the Global Solutions Summer School and the Global Solutions Summit in Berlin who are striving to change the world for the better.

To stimulate underlying research and connect researchers to relevant policymakers, the Global Solutions Initiative is moreover associated with various workshops, conferences and research networks that share the recoupling vision, such as the Social Macroeconomics Network of the ESRC Initiative on Rebuilding Macroeconomics, the OECD Initiative on New Approaches to Economic Challenges (NAEC), and ERINN (Economic Research on Identities, Norms and Narratives).
