Sunia Shamsi (she/her) is an intern with the YGC Program at the Global Solutions Initiative. She is currently assisting the YGC program lead and the team working towards the Annual GSI Summit. She is an LLM candidate at the Europa Universität Viadrina pursuing her master’s in international human rights and humanitarian laws as well. 

Sunia is originally from India. She holds a double degree – Bachelor of Arts and Bachelors of Legislative Law. Before moving to Germany in 2022, she was working with an NGO as a coordinator for their program aimed at facilitating the socioeconomic development of migrant workers in India. She has also worked for the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi as a research intern. In the past she has worked extensively with SLIC (Socio-Legal Information Centre) – an official partner organization of UNHCR operating in India.
