Christina Wadhwani is the Director, Worldwide Policy and Healthcare Systems at Novartis since December 2021. Christina joined Novartis in 2014, and was most recently the Director Healthcare Systems, for the AMACO Region (Asia Pacific, Middle East, North Africa region). Prior to joining Novartis Oncology, Christina was with the Novartis Foundation - the non-profit arm of the company - for 5 years scaling innovative solutions in LMICs around hypertension and cardiovascular disease. From 2011 to 2013, she was at the World Bank’s Health, Nutrition, and Population unit (HDNHE) identifying cost-effective solutions to address the dual-burden of disease (health-related MDGs and growing NCD burden). Christina has a Master’s in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s in Public Health from George Washington University. She is currently working on her PhD in Health Economics at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute.
