Mathias Charles Yabe is a food systems hero and a technology enthusiast, working to make food systems stronger, fairer and more sustainable in local communities in Ghana.
Mathias has mentored and assisted over 1,200 young people in Ghana, creating more opportunities for others to realize their dreams. Since 2018, the young entrepreneur’s mission has been help make food systems resilient through the introduction of climate-smart solutions in local communities to help improve livelihoods of smallholder farmers through his Agritech solution, AkoFresh
In September 2021, Mathias was recognized by the World Economic Forum as a winner and Top Innovator in the Generation Restoration Youth Challenge. Mathias is an awardee of the Ford Motor Company Fund Covid-19 College Challenge and the Community Prize winner in the 2021 TechStyle for Social Good International Competition by The Mills Fabrica in Hong Kong.
