Mathias Mogge was appointed Secretary General/Chairman of the Executive Board of Welthungerhilfe in September 2018. The agricultural engineer and environmental scientist (MSc) has been working for the organization in various positions since 1998, most recently as program director since March 2010. Mathias Mogge has also been Chairman of the Board of the Association of German Development and Humanitarian Organisations (VENRO) since December 2021. Since 2018, he has also been a member of the board of trustees of the Aid by Trade Foundation.
