Laboratorio de Investigación e Innovación en Educación para América Latina y el Caribe, SUMMA - Gelber is the Director of Research at SUMMA, where she collects evidence from Latin America and the Caribbean in order to suggest public policies to ensure the right to education for all. She currently works in direct connection with regional Ministries of Education, Chilean local educational authorities and international researchers from the Global South, identifying the main challenges and opportunities of distance education during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is a sociologist from the Catholic University in Uruguay, Master and PhD from the University of Texas at Austin (USA).
