Food Safety, Nutrition and Veterinary Public Health Department, Istituto Superiore di Sanità - Research scientist and team leader at the Italian National Institute of Health. He works in the areas of food safety, chemical risk assessment, environmental and human health in the Unit of Human Nutrition and Health of the Department of Food Safety, Nutrition and Veterinary Public Health. Research interests include exposure assessment, trace elements and micronutrients, nanomaterials and environmental particles with regard to effects on human health. Expert in >10 EFSA working groups.
